“Innerscapes”consists of Respighi’s string quartet “Quartetto Dorico” plus two pieces for quartet and mezzo soprano: Samuel Barber’s Dover Beach Op. 3 and Respighi’s Il Tramonto.
This concert will feature mezzo soprano Kate Aldrich. Aldrich, who grew up in Damariscotta, has made a name for herself around the world performing major roles in the world’s greatest opera houses (the Met, La Scala, San Francisco) with opera greats including Placido Domingo.
The DaPonte String Quartet, Maine’s premier string ensemble, is in its 26th year as a group.
